Greetings! What a amazing opportunity to join the Saskatchewan/Alberta Team as part of the Canadian PLP cohort with my colleagues from Saskatoon Public Schools. We are thrilled to be able to connect with other educators who are also passionate about engaging students and teachers in 21st century learning!

My name is Mary Jo Devine and I have been a Middle Years classroom teacher for 20 years. This year I am working as a Literacy Teacher to support our Division's Strategic Initiative Literacy for Life. I am thrilled about this new role, as I continue to have a foot in the classroom in addition to providing professional development for teachers around literacy. I am also supporting some of our elementary school's with their Collaborative Inquiry Teams, a Division initiative for teams of teachers to learn together to support student needs.

Our family consists of two daughters in university, a son in high school and an Airedale Terrier. I am working on my Masters of Education at the U of S and am inspired by the many life long learners around me.

I look forward to improving my technological skills through this PLP journey, and hopefully be able to encourage other teachers in using many of the engaging tools of technology to support classroom curriculum outcomes.

Looking forward to connecting with you this year,

Mary Jo Devine
