Abstract
As a school, we wanted to find new or different ways to integrate into our lessons. The question we asked ourselves was, "How are teachers enhancing their practice to address the 21st century skills: digital citizenship and digital technologies".
Problem, Issue, or Possibility
How do we move ourselves forward with 21st century skills as a school? Objectives and Assessment
To efffectively integrate technology into our lessons and in other areas of our school.
Implementation Plan
1.Evaluate the team’s practice with regards to these 2 skills. a.Create a baseline using a survey which has Likert Scales and reflective questions to be completed individually. b.Discuss findings and reflections 2.Take the information from our surveys and use it as a starting point to move forward a.Reflect as individuals what changes we need to make to our teaching practice to address these specific 21st century skills. b.Understanding these 2 principles (9 DC and various technologies, what do these look like at each grade level?) c.Share our own thoughts on the changes we need to make personally with our group d.Collaborate with the group and our network to generate ideas with regards to how we can move from where we are to where we want to be professionally. e.Continual analysis and reflection 3.Mid Point Check a.Evaluate progress at mid-point using the same tool used to create the baseline (with minor changes) b.Discuss as a group changes we made to our individual practices and collaborate on future ideas. 4.Closing Evaluation a.Re-evaluate progress using the same tool used to create the baseline (with minor changes) b.Share findings and reflections with our group.
